Kay Yamaguchi has been in the field of advertising and graphic design for over 25 years. She joined JB Brands as the creative director of the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut account in 2003 and is also currently the lead creative on Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Rehab Hospital of the Pacific. Her broad client base allows her to execute creative projects in print, television, radio and on social media platforms.

She was born in Palos Verdes, California and graduated from UCSD after spending part of her educational years in Oxford.

In the 90’s she moved to Hawaii to join the Ogilvy & Mather, Hawaii agency. There she had the opportunity to work as art director on accounts like Blockbuster, Alamo, Waimea Valley, Sea Life Park, Taco Bell & Pizza Hut to name a few. She won a Telly award for her Pizza Hut television campaign and was soon promoted to creative director on the Ala Moana Center account. After several years she opened her own shop acquiring new clients such as the Hawaii Pacific Hospital network of hospitals, University of Hawaii Foundation and Atlas Insurance.

Over the years she has volunteered her services on numerous committees – two of her favorites being Special Olympics and Easter Seals, Hawaii. When Kay is not working on advertising or chasing her twins, she is consumed by the many outdoor activities that make Hawaii such an amazing place to live, traveling to new places, and having enriching culinary experiences.
